The CPython interpreter in Python 3.14 can use a feature in C code that uses tail calls between functions. When compiled with a C compiler that supports these features, CPython runs slightly faster.
Many novice coders learn Python as their first coding language because of its popularity and ease of use. Two versions of this programming language are currently in use: Python 2 and Python 3.
The plan was to mark them as deprecated for 3.11 and 3.12, and then remove them entirely in Python 3.13. As of now, those “dead batteries” (as they’ve been called) are now permanently removed.
