Database programs let users create and edit single files interactively at the keyboard. However, as soon as they want data in one file to automatically update another, programming has to be done.

If both database programs import and export ASCII files, convert your original file into an ASCII file using the source database program. Look for Export in the File or Export menu.

If you have this file, make sure it resides in the same directory as your .MDF, or the Management Studio program may report errors when you restore the database. John Papiewski Contributor ...
