(CNN) - Actor Eric Dane says he’s been diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. The 52-year-old is best known for his roles in “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Euphoria.” ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a progressive, neuro-degenerative disease affecting nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.
