The SDK includes by default the netty-nio-client dependency. To reduce the package size, AWS recommends removing it from the application when using the new HTTP client.

It's been a long wait for C++ coders wanting to leverage the Amazon Web Services cloud for their development, but version 1.0 of the AWS SDK for C++ is finally ready for production use.

Strands Agents SDK also includes more than 20 prebuilt tools that AI agents can use to complete tasks. One of those tools, Retrieve, is powered by AWS’ Amazon Bedrock Knowledge Bases service.
