The right resolution is whatever her work desktop resolution is. The right screen size is whatever she can read at that resolution. So if her work desktop is 1080p, you want a 1080p laptop.

But for me, I'll take the slightly larger AMOLED 1080p screen over the Air's (admittedly bright and beautiful) 2.8K IPS panel. And hey, that extra 0.3 inches of screen real estate is great to have.
