Colt’s of Hartford, Conn., has been in the solid-frame, swing-out-cylinder, double-action revolver business since the introduction of the Model 1889 Navy .38 DA.

Like the two other versions with longer barrels, the 3" barrled version of the Colt Python is chambered for .357 Mag., with a 6-round cylinder.
