Robotics and coding courses are being added to the provincial curriculum and will be available to all Saskatchewan Grade 7 to 12 students in the area of practical and applied arts.
The students, aged 11 to 18, are expected to cover the basics of computer programming, web development, and robotics in conjunction with other topics for the level I introductory course.
For other grades from 4 to 9, the two subjects of robotics and coding will be on the pilot from 2022 to 2023, and full-scale implementation in these grades will be seen between 2024 and 2025.
