Another day, another Google product goes to the graveyard. The company is sunsetting Gmail’s basic HTML view, which allows users to look at their emails in a bare-bones state, starting January 2024.

"Basic HTML view will be supported until early January 2024. Until then, your organization can still use the current basic HTML view," Google shared in email notifications to Google Workspace admins.

If you prefer viewing your Gmail account in basic HTML, you'll soon be out of luck. Google is removing Gmail's Basic HTML view and replacing it with the Standard view across the board in January 2024.
