Bitwarden is back with another free and open-source app, this time to serve your 2FA needs. Bitwarden Authenticator has just been launched by Bitwarden Inc. (h/t Artem Russakovskii ).

All the best authenticator apps are free, or at least offer a free version. Lastly, you can circumvent these scammers’ attempts to rob you by using apps with built-in two-factor authenticators.

One scam app even captures your QR codes.You don’t have to look very hard for it: The developer took out an App Store ad, which means it is prominently shown when you search for authenticator apps.

Bitwarden has developed a standalone authenticator app. Until now, time-based one-time passwords were only available as an additional function for subscribers.
