DIY Twinky Arduino robot personal assistant 12:40 pm October 8, 2018 By Julian Horsey Using an Arduino Mega microcontroller, a new personal assistant has been created, taking inspiration from Jibo.
Controlled by an Arduino Uno, the robot uses a Slamtec RPLIDAR sensor to help map out its surroundings. The microcontroller is also armed with a Bluetooth link and an SD card for storage.
The robot’s hardware was constructed in accordance with the Open Robotic Platform (ORP) rules. This included two DC motors, an UNO R4 Minima, a Bluetooth module, and an SD card.
