Google is refreshing the way the Android robot logo and wordmark look, as reported by 9to5Google. The robot logo is getting a 3D head, and the Android wordmark is getting a capital A.

While the app icons have followed the flat design trend, the Android robot has been transformed into a 3D representation. This logo redesign appears to indicate more than just a grammatical shift.

The bugdroid, the face of the Android robot, has also been updated to appear more dynamic and versatile. The changes aim to create a balance between Android and Google's logo.
