An Anchor Point woman was shot and killed Wednesday afternoon by Alaska state troopers investigating a disconnected 911 phone call, the agency said.

Alaska state fire marshals are investigating the cause of a Thanksgiving evening residential fire in Anchor Point that killed one person and injured another.
