The Raiders are shaking up their staff by bringing back a face from the past. Norv Turner, who coached the team for two seasons when they were in Oakland, will return to the Raiders as an assistant, NFL Network reported Tuesday.

The Las Vegas Raiders are reportedly hiring Norv Turner to join their offensive staff in the wake of the firing of offensive coordinator Luke Getsy. Raiders fans couldn't get over how much of a blast from the past the hiring is.

He is joining the Raiders as his son, Scott, reportedly is in the mix to be calling the offensive plays when the team returns from its bye week. Scott Turner serves as the Raiders' passing-game coordinator under head coach Antonio Pierce.

Former head coach Norv Turner is returning to the team he was with two decades ago. Turner is coming out of retirement and joining the Las Vegas Raiders offensive staff, the team announced Tuesday, Turner will serve as a senior adviser.
