Sony Pictures CEO Tony Vinciquerra blamed critics for the failure of "Kraven" and "Madame Web." He said that the recent Marvel movies were "crucified" by the press. Vinciquerra said that the studio needs to "rethink" how they continue the franchise.

"For some reason, the press decided that they didn’t want us making these films out of 'Kraven' and 'Madame Web,' and the critics just destroyed them."
