A new report claims Nintendo Switch 2 dev kits don't have 4K output, which might mean the final consumer models won't either.
According to Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming, Switch 2 dev kits have arrived with a lack of 4K output. This comes from a developer during GDC (Game Developers Conference) in March and through emails, with Henderson stating that at least "some of the dev kits" don't support the resolution.
Many smaller developers still don't have Nintendo Switch 2 devkits, which could mean less games at launch than previously thought.
FBC: Firebreak is an upcoming co-op shooter from Control and Alan Wake studio Remedy, and the game is currently confirmed for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. But could it also come to Nintendo Switch 2? It's too soon to say, but game director Mike Kayatta hasn't ruled it out.
