The Michigan Wolverines are still hard at work trying to add critical pieces to their roster via the recruiting trail and the transfer portal ahead of the 2025

On Thursday, Michigan was linked to two well known Notre Dame Fighting Irish transfers, who could bolster a position that is essential to the performance of the team's offense this upcoming season. The Wolverines are reportedly interested in offensive linemen Rocco Spindler, son of former Detroit Lions fan favorite Marc Spindler, and Pat Coogan.

Jeff Persi started a handful of games — in 2022, he started against Rutgers, and in 2024, he started when Evan Link was dealing with injury, before Gentry took over. According to On3’s Pete Nakos, Persi has entered the transfer portal and will be a grad transfer.
