The Twins activated Wallner from the injured list on Saturday, sending fellow lefthanded-hitting outfielder DaShawn Keirsey Jr. to Class AAA St. Paul to make room on the active roster. Wallner is expected to be in the lineup Saturday when the Twins play the second game of their three-game series against the Mariners.

With outfielder Matt Wallner’s activation from the injured list from a hamstring strain that has kept him out since mid-April, the Twins have the full group they expected to break camp with finally healthy.

His activation came with a bit of controversy after conflicting reports from Minnesota beat writers. The Athletic’s Dan Hayes suggested he would be back on Saturday. The Pioneer Press’ Betsy Helfand tweeted, and then deleted, that he would remain in Omaha with St. Paul to start the weekend.
