Guiu made just his third Premier League appearance on Monday night, coming off the substitutes' bench to help the Blues record a 2-1 comeback victory over West Ham United. However, the 19-year-old ended the game requiring treatment inside the penalty area having seemingly suffered a groin injury while attempting to turn sharply.

“Marc is improving a lot, to be honest. He is doing fantastic; day by day, he is getting more and more ready for that sort of game but sometimes the decision is because I see something and sometimes it is good, sometimes it is not. For sure, Marc, I think day after day, he is more ready,” Maresca said.
