A 30-year-old delivery boy was killed in Lucknow after attempting to deliver an iPhone to a customer who had ordered the device on Cash on Delivery (COD) and sought to avoid paying 1,800 USD for it, police said on Monday.

A man in Lucknow had ordered an iPhone with COD option. He allegedly killed the agent who had come to deliver the phone.

The accused then dumped the delivery agent's body into the Indira Canal. The authorities are trying to retrieve the body.

A 30-year-old delivery agent working for Flipkart was murdered by a customer, who ordered an iPhone worth over Rs one lakh on cash on delivery. The incident occurred on September 23 and came to light after the delivery agent's family approached the police.

The Flipkart customer and his accomplice strangled the delivery agent, put his body in a sack and disposed of it in the Indira Canal, the police said. A search is underway to find the body.
