The Cardinals suffered their first loss of the season with a mistake-riddled performance against the Fighting Irish.

Louisville’s first three games, all of which were wins, ranged from relatively easy to incredibly easy. Facing Notre Dame in South Bend would be a different type of task. While the Cardinals held their own against the Irish, they ultimately suffered their first loss of the season, 31-24.

Jeff Brohm has Louisville rising in the national polls, as the Cardinals are out to a 3-0 start behind first-year starting quarterback Tyler Shough. Notre Dame will be tasked with a challenge all afternoon in trying to stop Louisville's offense, which ranked 12th in the country in scoring offense at 47.3 points per game.
