Republican Rep. Nick LaLota retained his seat in the House with a win over John Avlon, a former CNN political analyst. LaLota, a first-term congressman, represents the 1st Congressional District that includes Suffolk County and stretches from the eastern tip of Long Island to the New York City suburbs, per KTLA.
