The Bills have a James Cook problem. During the annual meetings in Orlando, G.M. Brandon Beane made it clear that Cook won't be getting a new contract "anytime soon," after initial talks went nowhere.

The running back position has become more important across the NFL than it has been in many years, however, the Buffalo Bills don't appear to be super eager to jump on the train and give out a massive contract to their star rusher.

The tension between James Cook and the Buffalo Bills continues to grow with neither side showing signs of compromise. Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane recently took a firm stance, declaring that the team won’t engage in negotiations with Cook until after the 2025 NFL Draft.
