The head of the Environmental Protection Agency has announced a series of actions to roll back landmark environmental regulations, including rules on pollution from coal-fired power plants, climate change and electric vehicles.

The EPA administrator says he is rolling back dozens of environmental rules, including those crucial to California programs on climate change and electric vehicles, and closing offices that worked to lower pollution in poor communities.

Promising to drive “a dagger through the heart of climate-change religion,” Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin on Wednesday outlined plans for an aggressive rollback of environmental regulations.
