A series of storms have begun to drench parts of the central U.S. and trigger flash flood warnings. See which areas are most affected.

Central United States is bracing for showers and thunderstorms this week. The weather system may bring much-needed rain to drought-hit areas. However, it also raises concerns about potential flash floods.

The agency also issued a tornado watch until 4 a.m. Saturday for parts of central North Texas. This includes the following counties: Archer, Baylor, Clay, Knox, Wichita and Wilbarger. The NWS says possible threats include “a couple tornadoes,” as well as scattered large hail and damaging winds.
