A bill banning personal devices like cell phones is on the way to Gov. Kemp’s desk after it passed the Senate nearly unanimously Tuesday

The Georgia Senate passed a bill banning cell phones at public elementary and middle schools, effective July 2026 if signed into law.

A statewide ban on cell phones in the classroom for Georgia students will now head to the governor’s desk for final approval.
