Donovan Mitchell just threw down one of the biggest dunks in years for the Cavs during Tuesday night's game against the Celtics.

Ever since he won the Slam Dunk Contest during his rookie season, Donovan Mitchell has established himself as one of the league's best dunkers -- particularly among smaller guards. He added to his resume on Tuesday night with a potential dunk of the year candidate.

Mitchell drove to the rim, jumped up, and put Celtics forward Kristaps Porziņģis on a poster with a highlight jam. The best part of this play was watching Mitchell's Cavaliers teammates react to the dunk.

Nearly five minutes into the contest, the Cleveland Cavaliers guard attacked the rim after splitting two defenders at the top of the key.

A matchup of the two best teams in the East featured one of the dunks of the year Tuesday night. This was bad news for Kristaps Porziņģis. Donovan Mitchell put Porziņģis on a poster with a power slam over the 7-2 center early Tuesday to ignite the Cleveland home crowd in a matchup against the Boston Celtics.

Celtics' big man Kristaps Porzingis rotated to help and contest Mitchell at the rim. Porzingis jumped and got his arm up, but Mitchell cocked his arm back and slammed the ball down over the seven-footer, which brought the full crowd at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse to its feet.

In a season where Donovan Mitchell has thrived by balancing scoring with playmaking, helping his teammates grow around him, the Cavs asked him to channel his “Spida” moniker and shoulder the offensive load to keep them close against the Celtics on Tuesday.
