The American Red Cross continues to answer the call days after Hurricane Helene ravaged countless communities across the South.

Hurricane Helene has taken the lives of more than 130 people in six states—and hundreds more are missing. In parts of Western North Carolina, more than 2 feet of rain fell. Electricity will not be restored for days in the city of Asheville—and help has been slow to arrive.

Minnesota disaster workers are being deployed to help victims of Hurricane Helene, which has devastated areas of the southeast U.S. from Florida to North Carolina and left around 100 people dead so far.
