Do we need to book a tour in advance or can we just show up in the morning and join the next tour?
A:
Yes you can show up no reservation needed. I believe the tours start at the top of each hour through 3 pm daily. Enjoy its beautiful.

Can we get a bus from City Park to here, or should we hail a cab?

Also, Longview Gardens, while on the Metairie Bus, is on the Left side of Metairie Road as you approach the Canal, and you can see the Road that is the Entry into the Long View …

Also, Longview Gardens, while on the Metairie Bus, is on the Left side of Metairie Road as you approach the Canal, and you can see the Road that is the Entry into the Long View Mansion. Be certain the bus driver knows where you are trying to go and he will cooperate.

Is it safe to walk from City Park and back again?
A:
Seemed safe enough. It is a busy road so I don't think you'd be attacked.

Is there dining or restaurant on the property?
A:
No I didn't see dining...but a very cute shop!

How much time should we allow?
A:
Depending on how much time you'd like wonder. The gardens are vast and beautiful. I'd say easily a couple hours.
